SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIPS



The Championship dates back to 1922, when first played at St. Andrews. In the following year, Tom Burrell won the title over his home Course at Troon. The 1923 Championship proved to be a good year for the Club, not only providing the Winner, but also the bronze medallist J L C Jenkins.

Played at Royal Troon on only one occasion, the Championship was won by Andrew Coltart. The winner was to turn Professional shortly afterwards and went on to represent Scotland at International level and also play for Europe in the Ryder Cup.
