PIERSLAND
Called after Piersland House, the home
of Sir Alexander Walker, which can be seen from the hole.
The last hole of
the outward nine brings the player back to the Clubhouse and begins
with a daunting drive which must miss the bunkers placed left and
right of the fairway if the green is to be reached in two shots.
The second will be played with a long iron, or even fairway wood, to a
green surrounded by four bunkers.
