PUDDOCK

A damp area of the course favoured by frogs and hence the Scot’s word Puddock.

A truly great short hole which can play as much as a driver against the wind which comes at the player over the left shoulder. The green is amply protected by a bunker to the right, and ground that gathers the ball into a deep bunker to the left.
