Visitor tee-times are available from Thursday 1st May till Thursday 23rd October 2008 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only.  Block times are reserved for visitors on both Courses as follows:-

OLD COURSE

9.30am till 11.00am and 2.30pm till 4.00pm

PORTLAND COURSE

9.00am till 10.30am and 2.30pm till 4.00pm

During September, afternoon tee-times will start at 2.00pm and finish at 3.30pm.
During October 9.30am till 11.00am only.

The following conditions on play apply:-
  • A current certificate of Handicap must be produced, with the maximum handicap for play being:- Gentlemen - 20, Ladies - 30.

  • Players under 16 years of age may play the Portland Course.
    •  
  • Bookings from parties in excess of twenty-four players must be approved by the Committee.
    •  
  • Slow Play is unacceptable and players taking excessive time will be warned or asked to leave the course. Players are asked to give way if they are holding up the match behind.
    •  
  • No cameras, video equipment or mobile phones are allowed on the courses.
    •  
  • Our Green Staff take every care in preparing the courses for your enjoyment. Players are asked to assist by repairing pitch marks, replacing divots and raking bunkers after use.
    •  
  • Due to essential course maintenance to greens during October, some temporary greens may be in operation.
  • Persons under 16 years of age are not permitted in the Clubhouse.

 
The composite fees in operation during 2008 are as follows:-
  • Morning coffee, lunch, one round on both Courses and use of the practice facilities:- £220 per day
  • Morning coffee, lunch, two rounds on Portland Course and use of the practice facilities:- £120 per day

A non-refundable deposit of £110.00 per player is required to reserve a tee-time. The balance of the green fee(s) must be paid 60 days prior to the date of play to confirm the reservation. Non-payment by the due date will result in the reservation being cancelled, with no refunds given.

The Club will accept payment by the following credit cards:- Visa, MasterCard, Switch or Delta.

Caddies should be requested in advance and are subject to availability. The normal caddie fee is £35 per round. Trolley rental at £3 per round is available from the Club Professional.
Golf Shoes and headwear are only permitted in the Locker Rooms. Jacket, collar and tie are necessary for both the Smoke Room and the Dining Room, with casual golf wear acceptable in the Club Bar and for lunch in the Ailsa Lounge. Jeans, tee-shirts, training or sports shoes and shorts are not permitted in the Clubhouse or on the Courses.

Ladies are required to wear a dress, skirt or formal slacks in the Dining Room.

Articles of value should not be left in the Locker Rooms, as the Club cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage. Mobile telephones and cameras are not permitted in the Clubhouse.

There is a large car park to the front of the club house where visitors can park. It is in our Visitors’ interest to ensure that vehicles are securely locked and valuables kept out of sight. Although security cameras are in operation, Royal Troon Golf Club cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings. Changing of golf clothing and shoes and partaking of snacks in the car park is strictly forbidden.

The Club is located on the south side of Troon and is clearly sign-posted. Prestwick Airport is approximately four miles from the Club. Please check the location section of the Website for further details.

The Club reserves the right to amend or rescind any or all of those conditions at any time. Notice of such change will be given whenever possible.
