Royal Troon Golf Club welcomes Jody Anschutz as Honorary Member

Monday 30 July 2018

Royal Troon Golf Club has a long tradition of honouring those who have triumphed in major championships at Troon, both professional and amateur.

In addition to the 9 Open Championships and 6 Amateur Championships, there have been 4 Ladies' British Open Amateur Championships held at Troon, the first as early in our history as 1904 and the latest in 1984. That Championship was won by an American, Jody Rosenthal, now Mrs Jody Anschutz, who considered that win as her biggest thrill in golf.

Committee wish to honour her achievement by conferring Honorary Membership of Royal Troon Golf Club and we are delighted that Mrs Anschutz has accepted the invitation with great pride and humility. We congratulate Mrs Anschutz and look forward to welcoming her as an Honorary Member on her next visit to Troon.
