Troon St Meddan’s Nicholas Gold claimed victory by one shot in the 2024 Hillhouse Cup, played over the Old Course at Royal Troon on Sunday 19 May.

Nicholas negotiated the course, from the Blue Tees, with a level-par score of 71 to secure victory in one of Ayrshire’s most prestigious amateur events.

Iain Brown (Largs GC) finished in second place with a score of 72, followed by a six-way tie for third with Alistair Belford (Prestwick St Nicholas GC), Cameron Aitken (Largs GC), Andrew Gordon (Ayr Belleisle GC), Ben Gibson (Kilmarnock (Barassie) GC), Harvey Broadfoot (Troon Welbeck GC), and Ruben Lindsay (Turnberry GC) all scoring 74.
