Handicap requirement: Gents 20, Ladies 30.

Handicap Certificates may be requested.

Golfers must be aged 12 and over to play the Old Course or the Portland Course. (Golfers aged 12 to 15 are required to have a handicap of 12 or less to play the Old Course)

Trousers and shorts should be tailored and appropriate for golf.

Casual golf wear and clean soft spiked golf shoes are acceptable in the Club Bar and for lunch in the Ailsa Room and Dining Room.

Waterproofs and headwear are not permitted in the Ailsa Lounge or Dining Room.

Denim jeans, paramilitary style trousers, cargo pants, cut-offs, tracksuits, t-shirts and training / sports shoes are not permitted in the Clubhouse or on the Courses.

Gentlemen are required to wear jacket & tie in the Smoke Room.

Cost £65.00 per round, gratuity at golfer’s discretion.

Limited buggies are available for golfers with a valid medical certificate.

Cost £20.00 per round plus a caddie is required to drive.

Here at Royal Troon we are doing our bit for the environment having removed the sale of single-use plastic water bottles in Spring 2019.

We have installed a cool-filtered water station in the Professional Shop where you can refill a reusable bottle for free. Several types of quality, logoed reusable water bottles are available for purchase from the Professional Shop.

Articles of value should not be left in the Locker Rooms as the Royal Troon Golf Club cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.

Mobile phones must be in silent mode and are not permitted to be used to make or receive calls whilst in the Clubhouse or on the Courses except in the case of emergency.

Clubhouse catering is available from 8.30am until 5.00pm. After 5.00pm, sandwiches & salad boxes are available by pre-order.

It is in the interest of visitors to ensure that vehicles are securely locked, and valuables kept out of sight, as Royal Troon Golf Club cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.

Changing of golf clothing and shoes in the car park is strictly forbidden.

Slow Play should be avoided, players are asked to give way if they are holding up the match behind.

Our Greenkeeping Team take every care in preparing the courses for your enjoyment. Please assist by repairing pitch marks, replacing divots, raking bunkers and replacing rakes after use.

The Club reserves the right to amend or rescind any or all of these conditions at any time. Notice of such change will be given whenever possible.

Should the party (or any individual) require to cancel a golf reservation, subsequent to it having been confirmed by Royal Troon Golf Club, please contact the Bookings Team on +44 (0) 1292 311555 or by email to bookingsmanager@royaltroon.com.

The current cancellation charges ordinarily levied by Royal Troon Golf Club are as follows:

Cancellation Charge

• 90 days or more, 50% of the total cost
• Less than 90 days, 100% of the total cost

If any golfers are prevented from travelling, the person(s) concerned are entitled to transfer their booking to a future date at no extra cost. A written confirmation of all amendments must be sent to the Bookings Team at Royal Troon Golf Club.
